Assessment
You will be asked about your medical history and the story of your presenting complaint. A full clinical examination and appropriate tests will be carried out, leading to a first impression. From here, a full consultation on the treatment plan will be made. From this initial assessment, treatment can begin.
An accurate diagnosis permits precise treatment and this part of the overall aspect of the clinic is one of the most important. With the experience of the practitioner and therapist, a correct and precise diagnosis can be made. A broad view is taken with the problem, as quick fixes without looking for the real cause, will increase the likelihood of the problem reoccurring. So identifying the cause and possible correction, is as important as treating the symptoms.
You will need to be prepared to partially undress to be assessed, so bring along clothes appropriate for this.
